Buehler Abrasive Blades
Buehler’s abrasive blades quickly section through samples, adding efficiency to your process. Buehler offers both rubber and resin abrasive blades to meet your sectioning needs.
AcuThin® Blades

AcuThin abrasive blades are designed for precise sectioning when a narrow
kerf and minimal surface damage are required on critical samples.
These thin, rubber-bond blades are ideal for delicate abrasive cutting of
small components, electronic parts and thin-wall tubing where preserving
the true microstructure is essential.
They help metallography and failure-analysis labs achieve accurate cuts,
reduced burr formation and shorter grinding and polishing times on a wide
range of metallic materials.
Orbital Blades

Orbital abrasive blades are optimized for orbital abrasive cutters and
also perform reliably on many standard abrasive cutting machines.
Their rubber-bond construction supports high-quality sectioning of ferrous
and non-ferrous metals, nickel-based superalloys and other demanding
engineering alloys used in aerospace and power-generation components.
Orbital blades are a strong choice when cleaner cuts, stable coolant flow
and extended blade life are priorities in production or quality-control
environments.
Diamond Blades

Continuous-rim diamond blades provide cutting performance on very
hard and brittle materials such as ceramics, carbides, thermal-spray
coatings and advanced composites.
Compared with conventional abrasive cut-off wheels, diamond blades offer
faster cutting, better edge retention and reduced microcracking, which is
critical for high-resolution microscopy and detailed failure analysis.
They are recommended whenever abrasive cutters must produce precise
metallographic samples from extremely hard materials with minimal
subsurface damage and consistent sectioning quality.
Abrasive Blades
Buehler abrasive blades provide fast, consistent sectioning so samples move
through your preparation process with less delay and rework.
The range includes rubber‑bond and resin‑bond abrasive blades to suit
different materials, hardness levels and cutting conditions.
Premium Resin Abrasive Blades
Premium resin abrasive blades are engineered for extended life, reducing
the number of blade changes and helping to lower overall consumable
costs in busy laboratories.
They cut a wide variety of metallic alloys and typically last longer than
many conventional abrasive blades on the market.
Their stable cutting behavior supports reproducible sectioning results and
minimizes the risk of overheating or deforming critical samples before
grinding and polishing.
